Manual payroll blues.
It’s October 2022, and Sal Pece is in a tricky spot. Sal is the CEO of Xennial Innovations, an AI-driven digital solutions company, and business is going well – very well. Xennial counts IBM, BMO and Bombardier among its clients, and it now has around 45 employees across Canada and the United States. Sal had been handling payroll manually, but this created a problem – he couldn’t keep up with the company’s growth.
“I was using the good old-fashioned entrepreneurial spirit,” Sal said. “Twice a month, I would take all the payroll numbers, log into my bank, and then send e-Transfers,”
